Research activities

My research activities have been focused on studying inflammatory and neurocardio-physiological responses to hazardous exposures in the ambient (mainly air) environment and workplace, and whether and how such environmental stressors can translate to the development and progression of chronic diseases (e.g., cardiovascular diseases, rheumatic diseases, metabolic abnormalities, sleep disorders). I am also interested in epidemiologic methodology research as applicable to studying environmental and occupational health problems.
