Research activities

Carolyn Crump's primary interests are the impact of organizational and environmental factors on health behavior, strategic planning and program evaluation, and community efforts to prevent injury. Her current research involves an evaluation of the Indian Health Services Injury Prevention Program. Dr. Crump has recently designed the strategic plan, certification process, grant program, and evaluation for the state wide Be Active North Carolina initiative to increase physical activity and promote cardiovascular health. She provides technical assistance to NCs Department of Human Services Physical Activity branch and local fitness councils across the state.
