The UNC School of Public Health offers baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral degrees in a variety of fields of study.  Our nationally recognized programs, accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health, focus on health promotion and disease prevention for individuals, groups and entire populations – across North Carolina and around the world.   Our academic offerings also include continuing education, executive education and distance education programs geared specifically to meet the needs of working public health professionals.

To achieve the best results, many of our programs take an interdisciplinary approach, integrating curriculums with other academic departments in the School and University.  One example of an interdisciplinary program is our Graduate Certificate in Global Health, an add-on certificate for degree-seeking students. 

Students can further enhance their educational experience by attending lectures, conferences and seminars, by viewing some of our many Webcasts, and by getting involved with student organizations such as our Student Government and Minority Student Caucus.
