Early arrivals are invited to gather at 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 11 for a softball game and social.

Beginning the afternoon of Monday, October 12, and ending at lunch time the following day, we will celebrate Professor Koch's exceptional contributions through a series of lectures and reminiscences, with a warm-hearted dinner tribute that evening, and a hot breakfast Tuesday morning.

Continuing with lunch on Tuesday, October 13, and ending with a luncheon on Thursday, October 15, we will observe the Department's anniversary with an exciting program of lectures on cutting-edge developments in theory and applications, updates on the current status and future of our undergraduate and graduate training programs, and reflections on the impact our department has made on the field of biostatistics as well as on public health and medicine broadly.

On Wednesday, October 14, a breakfast will honor Professor Larry Kupper, and our banquet celebration of the 60th anniversary of the department will feature a keynote address by Dr. Jim Grizzle highlighting the history and successes of the department. We look forward to welcoming you to Chapel Hill in October.
