Lead Poisoning
The COEC has developed educational materials for Lead Poisoning Prevention Week through the HOPE Partnership. The Health Observance and Public Education (HOPE) Partnership is a nationwide public health science education project designed to enhance the general public's scientific literacy and to improve public understanding of the biomedical and health-related sciences and the impact of research on human health.
The COEC also coordinates lead poisoning prevention outreach activities for the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program of the North Carolina Children's Environmental Health Branch.
