The UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health values and participates in interdisciplinary research, education and service through the activities of its many centers, institutes, programs and specialized facilities. The School also has a long history of affiliation with many other UNC entities. Some of our faculty and researchers have dual appointments with UNC centers and institutes. Or we might collaborate on research or share resources or data to build upon our collective public health knowledge.
North Carolina Institute for Public Health: The School's service arm and largest institute, often simply called "the Institute," is the North Carolina Institute for Public Health. Other, smaller centers and programs reside within the Institute.
