A program manager will be assigned to work with you and provide services before, during and after your program. Pre-program services include:

  • Locating accessible, multipurpose meeting facilities.
  • Making on-site program arrangements, such as lecture space, break-out rooms, refreshment breaks, meals, and social hours
  • Producing correspondence with speakers and planning committee members as the program is developed.
  • Offering appropriate continuing education credit specific to your target audience.
  • Making travel and overnight arrangements for you and program speakers.
  • Arranging for audiovisual equipment.
  • Duplicating handouts and assembling program packets, including name tags.

During your program the OCE staff can take care of the "nitty gritty" of continuing education, freeing you to concentrate on other program aspects. Our staff will:

  • Ensure that all arrangements for room set-up, audiovisual equipment, breaks, and meals have been made.
  • Coordinate on-site registration for participants.
  • Assist with speaker orientation.
  • Manage on-site media coverage.

The program manager will continue work on your program long after you have finished teaching. Program follow-up services include:

  • Producing correspondence with speakers, members of the planning committee, and participants.
  • Handling payments to speakers for travel, per diem, and honoraria.
  • Paying bills for program services and coordinating the reporting activities for any outside grants and contracts.
  • Registering participants for appropriate continuing education credit with the university and with other professional associations.
  • Summarizing program evaluation forms completed by participants for your review.
  • Keeping complete records on your program, including a list of participants, promotional materials, speaker and participant correspondence, and expenses and income.
