Donglin Zeng, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Biostatistics, has
won the American Statistical Association's Gottfried E. Noether Young Scholar
Award, established in 1999 to recognize distinguished researchers and teachers
and to support research in nonparametric statistics (continued).
Fred Wright, Professor in Biostatistics, was mentioned in the July 12th edition of Newsweek. The article, "Lies, Damned Lies, and..." also features former professor Michael Schell. Publishes Volume in Honor of Dr. Sen The first issue of the new Institute of
Mathematical Statistics (IMS) Collections series has been published. Volume 1
in the series, Beyond Parametrics in
Interdisciplinary Research: Festschrift in Honor of Professor Pranab K. Sen,
is edited by N. Balakrishnan, Edsel Pena, and Mervyn J. Silvapulle. (continued).
