UNC's School of Public Health offers more than 40 residential and distance learning degrees and certificates via eight academic departments and programs. Our educational opportunities, including dual/joint degree programs with other professional schools and certificate programs, prepare our students for success in a variety of public health careers.

Listed below are the types of public health degrees offered by UNC, along with the departments that provide them. When selecting a degree, please note that the entry requirements may differ by department. For example, the MPH program in Health Policy and Management (Administration) is a one-year program designed for professionals with other advanced degrees. The MPH program in Health Behavior Health Education is a two-year program that doesn't require a prior advanced degree.
