Dr. Anthony Hackney of the University of North Carolina recently conducted a series of lectures on "Sports Nutrition and Exercise Performance" in Chile, South America during June.   The lecture series is sponsored by the Chilean government and several universities in the country.  Dr. Hackney has just completed directing a Study Aboard program in Montevideo, Uruguay for UNC students studying exercise physiology and sports nutrition.  Dr. Hackney is a Professor in the Department of Exercise & Sports Science, and also holds an appointment in the Department of Nutrition at the university.
