Master of Healthcare Administration & Master of Business Administration

General Information

The MHA/MBA program provides an opportunity for a select group of students to obtain both the fundamental set of health services management skills as well as the specialized training provided by the MBA program.

The MHA program provides broad-based training to enable graduates to assume a variety of health services management roles. Students obtain a conceptual and practical foundation in health economics, information systems, operations research, healthcare human resources management, law, and the values and perspectives of public health. There is a strong demand in the field for well-trained managers who understand the characteristics of the health care system.

The MBA program prepares individuals for management careers in both the public and the private sector. This program enables individuals to focus on specific content areas such as marketing and finance. Individuals with specialized management skills, while also having a grounding in health services, are in considerable demand in healthcare organizations.
