The Department of Epidemiology student body is a diverse group of individuals, representing several cultures, a wide range of work experience, and numerous philosophies and interests.
Of the U.S. citizens and permanent residents, 17 are African-American, 3 are Hispanic, 1 American Indian, 17 are Asian, and 5 self-report as "Other". The presence of several international students in the program enhances the ethnic representation and adds many fresh perspectives to the study of epidemiology. Currently represented countries within our student body include Canada, Cameroon, Colombia, Greece, India, Korea, Malawi, Malaysia, People’s Republic of China, Taiwan and Vietnam. |

students enrolled, of whom 23 are in the MPH program and 148 are doctoral
students.
