Admissions stats Print

The Department of Epidemiology student body is a diverse group of individuals, representing several cultures, a wide range of work experience, and numerous philosophies and interests.



As of fall 2007, there are 171 graduate students enrolled, of whom 23 are in the MPH program and 148 are doctoral students.









Of the 148 doctoral students 33 are completing their MSPH as part of the doctoral requirement








Of the U.S. citizens and permanent residents, 17 are African-American, 3 are Hispanic, 1 American Indian, 17 are Asian, and 5 self-report as "Other". The presence of several international students in the program enhances the ethnic representation and adds many fresh perspectives to the study of epidemiology. Currently represented countries within our student body include Canada, Cameroon, Colombia, Greece, India, Korea, Malawi, Malaysia, People’s Republic of China, Taiwan and Vietnam.
