Affiliated programs currently supporting students in the Department of Epidemiology include the following: Program in Oral Epidemiology. A three-year program for dentists or dental hygienists enrolled in the doctoral program in Epidemiology. NRSA Primary Care Research Fellowship. Designed to train physicians for academic careers with a focus on primary care research. Preventive Medicine Residency. A two-year program for physicians who want to qualify for the Preventive Medicine Boards. Supports a concurrent public health MPH program. MD/PhD Program. The School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in conjunction with the Graduate School, is pleased to offer a combined degree MD/PhD Program. The combined MD/PhD Program is available to exceptional students who seek to combine a career in clinical medicine with a career in biomedical research. |
