Epidemiology Student Organization

The 2007-08 Officers thank you for a successful year! In addition to representing the Epidemiology student voice on a variety of committees and managing the student room, we also: Coordinated two well attended department-wide social events: The Fall Picnic The Winter Music Fest Organized the first annual Cyclicious: A Celebration of Bicycle Transportation during National Public Health Week Hosted a lecture by occupational epidemiologist Dr. David Michaels entitled Doubt is Their Product: Manufactured Uncertainty and Public Health Celebrated Epidemiology Staff Appreciation Day Please enjoy the photos from some of these events below! Cyclicious 2008   Lecture by Dr. David Michaels     ESO provides an organized student voice within the Department of Epidemiology and represents Epidemiology students to the School of Public Health and the University. We are welcoming faces to new students and faculty, organizers of both social and professional development events, liaisons to the department for student concerns about policies or curricula, and responsible for maintaining the Epidemiology Student Room, a second home for all students in the department.   The 2007-2008 ESO Officers:   Emily O’Brien, President   ecobrien@email.unc.edu     Virginia T.
