International applicants must submit the following additional materials to the Graduate School, as well as completing the standard application procedure:
TOEFL score
- On the paper-based exam, the Graduate School requires a minimum
TOEFL score of 550 with a minimum score of 50 on each
subsection.
- On the computer-based exam, a minimum TOEFL score of 213 with a
minimum of 18 on each subsection is required. No exceptions are
made.
- The TOEFL is not required for applicants from England,
Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Canada except Quebec, New Zealand, Australia,
India, Jamaica, Nigeria, Ghana, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad
and Tobago, OR applicants who already hold a degree from a
U.S. institution. Applicants from Puerto Rico are not
required to take the TOEFL since this is a U.S. territory.
- The Graduate School does not accept other tests in lieu of the TOEFL.
