Policies The School of Public Health expects
its faculty and staff to adhere to University policies at all times,
and it is
the responsibility of each employee to be informed and up to date on
policies. University policies range in scope from guidelines
for using campus-wide facilities to alcohol guidelines for
University-sponsored
events to what to do in the case of sexual harassment in the
workplace. For more information on University policies, please see the following: Faculty policiesEPA non-faculty policies SPA employees policies University Postdoctoral Scholar Policies Benefits Benefits available to faculty and staff include leave time
and health insurance, but there are many more benefits beyond the basics. Employees can join recreation programs such as Carolina
Fitness or the Farm, for example, or organizations such as The Carolina Women's
Center, which provides resources to enhance the lives of female employees. Similarly, Diversity & Multicultural
Affairs supports faculty and staff in addressing diversity issues on
campus. And new faculty members can
apply for the Tar Heel Bus Tour, a five-day trip across North Carolina to experience the state's
culture, society and history. Other benefits and opportunities include ride-sharing
programs, free e-mail accounts and web-calendar access, to name a few. For more information on employee services and resources,
