Fellowship and International Funding Opportunities at SPH and UNC

• 
  FHI-UNC Public Health Fellowship offers doctoral and second-year master's student the opportunity to work with a researcher at Family Health International.

• The IntraHealth-UNC Summer Fellows Program offers up to 5 students an opportunity to learn about IntraHealth while completing requirements for a practicum.

• The Center for Global Initiatives (formerly University Center for International Studies) awards travel funds to graduate students. They have several funding mechanisms, so be sure to visit their website to learn more.

• Please visit the UNC database of internal funding opportunities (travel, dissertation, thesis, etc.) available for faculty, staff and students through the UNC Research Office.

Global Health Career Services at UNC

• The Office of Global Health will now offer global health career advising and mentoring. Please contact ogh@unc.edu for more information and to sign-up for a time slot.
• The Office of Global Health publishes This Week in Global Health detailing job and internship opportunities as well as local and regional events. To subscribe to the listserv email the Office of Global Health.
  
• The OGH also posts global health positions (jobs and internships). These are expanded postings that have been included in recent issues of This Week in Global Health as well as additional postings not included in the newsletter.
  
• Any student enrolled in a degree-seeking program in the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health is eligible to become an Member of the Global Health Council at no charge. Memberships includes: access to the GHC jobs database, weekly global health news updates, discounts to the annual conference, and support from and networking opportunities within the national University Coalitions for Global Health Resource Group. • SPH Career Services includes up-to-date postings on global health opportunities for graduate assistantships, jobs, internships and fellowships.

• USAID GHFP has several summer and post-graduate positions available in all USAID technical areas.

• ASPH/CDC Allan Rosenfield Global Health Fellowship Program
  In recognition of a career dedicated to improving the health of the world's most vulnerable populations, ASPH, with support from the CDC, established a fellowship in honor of Dean Allan Rosenfield, dean of the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. The Allan Rosenfield Global Health Fellowship provides international training opportunities for recent graduates of ASPH member accredited schools of public health (MPH and Doctoral level). Early career professionals with graduate degrees from ASPH member schools of public health are also eligible to apply.
