Creating and maintaining community and international affiliations are an important part of the work of the Office of Global Health in the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.
These organizations and universities help to extend the reach of the
OGH, as well as to provide key research and practice opportunities for our

FHI-UNC Public Health Fellowship Program
Family Health International (FHI), in partnership with the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health (SPH) offers a one-year fellowship program
for doctoral students and second year masters students. This exciting
fellowship program provides students with the opportunity to work with
FHI's world-renowned researchers in global health topics such as,
HIV/AIDS, infectious diseases, reproductive, maternal and adolescent
health. | |

UNC is a member organization.
OGH was an exhibitor at the 2006 and 2007 Annual Conference and supported registrations for 25 students to attend each year. Any student enrolled in a degree-seeking
program with the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health is eligible to become an "Associate Professional Member" of the Global Health Council at no charge. The SPH Office of Global Health has worked over the last several
years to strengthen the relationship between the UNC School of Public
Health and the Global Health Council. We have increased our membership
level in part to provide an important professional membership
opportunity for our students:

Collaborations with internationally-based universities offer
opportunities for faculty exchanges, the extension of UNC resources, as
