The Global Health Advisory Committee (GHAC)
serves in an advisory capacity to the Office of Global Health on such
topics as curriculum, policy issues, seminar speakers, fundraising, and grants,
among many other areas.
The GHAC includes representatives
from each department in the Gillings School of Global Public Health, as well as members
from the Student Global Health Committee, School of Medicine, Health
Sciences Library, Center for Global Initiatives, Carolina
Asia Center, and SPH alumni, as well as from organizations in the
Research Triangle Park area including Family Health International, RTI International,
IntraHealth, ABT Associates and IPAS.
Each departmental representative serves
as the graduate student advisor for the Graduate Certificate in Global Health to their department. These
faculty are primary resources for students interested in global health
in their departments.
