Alumnus Carlton Duncan appointed acting COO of CDC
 Carlton Duncan (MSPH 1992)
HBHE grad Carlton Duncan, MSPH has
been appointed Acting Chief Operating Officer of the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention where he has served as Deputy Chief Operating Officer
since April 2004. Carlton began work at CDC as a program representative in what
was then known as the Venereal Disease Control Program--now known as the
Sexually Transmitted Disease Control Program. His more than 30 years of
experience at CDC will enable the organization to maintain continuity until a
permanent replacement is hired. Bio
Since the Department was founded in 1943 by Dr. Lucy Morgan, over 2000 students have graduated from our training programs. Our alumni occupy important health behavior and health education positions across the nation and around the world. Alumni guest lecture in our courses, serve as adjunct faculty, and assist the department in helping to place graduates in important positions in practice and academia.
