The application deadline for the January start date is NOVEMBER 8. The application deadline for the July start date is MAY 8.

Required Application Materials
All applicants to the Community Preparedness and Disaster Management Certificate Program must submit the following:

1. Current Resume
2. Essay. Prepare a two page (500 word) statement of purpose addressing the following: How will this certificate program at UNC-CH contribute to your projected career? We use a team based learning approach, and are looking for students who will benefit from and contribute to the learning environment. What do you bring to the table? Please provide any additional information that you think will strengthen your application.
3. Completion of online Graduate School application. You may start your application by logging into https://acapps.unc.edu/account/register. Applications for the next academic year are available in August. A current email address is a required field on the application since all correspondence is conducted by email. If you have problems with the online form, call 919 962-HELP (919 962-4357) or submit an online help request at https://www.unc.edu/ar-bin/websub/index.pl.
