Health Policy and Management

Dual Degrees

The Department of Health Policy and Management at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill offers eight dual degree programs. Under these programs students simultaneously pursue two specified study programs, which can be completed in less time than if pursued independently. Concurrent graduate degree opportunities are available with the Schools of Law, Medicine, Dentistry and Information and Library Science, as well as the Department of City and Regional Planning.

Students must apply separately and be accepted by both programs in order to pursue the dual degree. 

The following dual degree programs are offered:

Master of Healthcare Administration

  • MHA/MBA
    Master of Healthcare Administration & Master of Business Administration
  • MHA/MSIS
    Master of Healthcare Administration & Master of Science in Information Science
  • MHA/MSLS
    Master of Healthcare Administration & Master of Science in Library Science
  • MHA/MCRP
    Master of Healthcare Administration & Master of City and Regional Planning
Master of Science in Public Health
  • MSPH/MBA
    Master of Science in Public Health & Master of Business Administration
  • MSPH/MSIS
    Master of Science in Public Health & Master of Science in Information Science
  • MSPH/MSLS
    Master of Science in Public Health & Master of Science in Library Science
  • MSPH/MCRP
    Master of Science in Public Health & Master of City and Regional Planning
