The IIS End User Support Helpdesk service (EUS) provides standardized desktop hardware and software support of Carolina Computing Initiative (CCI) compatible machines to SPH departments that contract for this service on an annual per-machine basis. We also provide security consulting and password reset services on behalf of all users of campus computing services via ONYEN login. The EUS contract service includes system setup, initial configuration, configuration and troubleshooting of access to file shares and network printers at the SPH, basic support of the CCI-standard software load (Office, Mozilla browser and email, calendar, antivirus, etc), and ongoing hardware and software maintenance and updates. Desktop backup/restore and disaster recovery services are provided at no extra cost, using the Iron Mountain PC Electronic Vaulting service. We use the campus-standard Remedy Action Request system for submitting and resolving requests for assistance, so that requests can be created via 962-4357, or via the available web forms from http://help.unc.edu or http://help.sph.unc.edu.
