The "ONYEN" (Only Name You'll Ever Need) is the username and password used for central authentication to campus resources such as campus e-mail, the campus calendar, wired and wireless mobile computing, and centralized campus computing resources such as Blackboard, and Statistical Computing. More information about ONYEN-related services can be found at the http://onyen.unc.edu page. The IIS End User Support Helpdesk, in Room 2307 McGavran-Greenberg, is one of only five campus-wide walk-in sites authorized for in-person reset of expired or forgotten ONYEN passwords. The walk-in service is available during normal University business hours, Monday through Friday, between 8am and noon, and between1pm and 5pm. Persons wishing to get their ONYEN password reset are required to have their UNC ONE Card with them, or some other form of picture identification. If you work at one of the EUS-supported remote office locations where an EUS IT Support Analyst is permanently located, rather than having to come up to Rosenau Hall, your Support Analyst may also be able to help reset your ONYEN password, from their office. For more information about this service, please contact the End User Support Group Manager. |
