Satellite uplinking (transmitting) and downlinking (receiving) services for KU-Band and C-Band are available through an arrangement with Microspace Satellite via microwave link. Using the UNC campus fiber network, signals from the Mayes Telecommunication Center as well as NC-REN can be networked to the satellite facility to uplink (transmit) signals to a desired satellite. Instructional Media Services (IMS) also have satellite downlinking (receiving) capability to receive KU & C Band analog programming. For more information about this service, please contact the Instructional Media Services Manager. |
