Our students come from across the nation and around the world and this diversity helps to create an optimal learning community. Our students share our commitment to working with the MCH population and our focus on those who are underserved and disadvantaged. The composition of our student body also reflects our department’s emphasis on recruiting students with diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds, disciplines, experiences, interests and skills. In 2006-2007, our total student body included 56 Master’s students and 24 Doctoral students. The 2007-2008 MCH cohort includes 34 new Master’s students and 7 new Doctoral students. Of these, 6 students will pursue joint degrees in MCH and social work and 7 joint degrees in MCH and medicine.
