Message from the dean for media

Thanks for visiting the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health Web site. If you need immediate help with a story, please feel free to call our communications office, led by Ramona DuBose, at 919-966-7467. Getting scientific facts and highly qualified expert opinion in public health can be challenging under the best of circumstances, tougher still under deadlines. As the sister of a reporter, I know the urgency of deadlines. We will do our best to help you get the information and perspective you and your audience need to be well-informed.

Our experts can help with most hot news topics -- from obesity, infectious diseases and water to global warming, cancer prevention, health insurance, health disparities, clinical trials and family violence. What's special about our school is our commitment to solve problems now and translate research into programs and policies that improve lives.
