Paula
Dickson joined the North Carolina Public Health Academy as AHEC
research associate in August. She comes
to the Academy with over ten years experience in public health education and continuous
quality improvement. Prior to joining the Academy, Dickson worked for the Carolina's Center for Medical Excellence and the West Virginia Medical Institute where she managed projects to improve care delivery in the Medicare population and provided educational outreach programs focusing on disease prevention. She has also designed and implemented two worksite wellness programs. She graduated
from Liberty University with a BS in Health Promotion and Education in 1995 and
continued her studies at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where she
obtained her MS in Health Administration in 1999. She is also a Certified
Health Education Specialist. |
