Projects by Request

As a member of the network of Centers for Public Health Preparedness NCCPHP offers technical assistance to state and local public health agencies and other community partners upon request.

Examples of technical assistance* offered by NCCPHP include:

  • Trainings on Epi Info and GIS software for public health regional surveillance teams and health department staff
  • Assistance with a pre-hurricane needs assessment in a coastal county
  • Data analysis as part of county and regional surveillance reports
  • Assistance with roll-out of a new online disease reporting system for local health departments
  • Guidance and support for workforce development assessment and facilitation of training conferences for public health staff
  • Workforce surge capacity for outbreak investigations, community health assessments and surveillance activities as part of NCCPHP’s Team Epi-Aid
  • Support of pandemic influenza planning at the local health department level
  • Development of sampling guidelines for use in public health assessments
