Public health professionals have expressed a need for more educational options on leadership and supervisory skills in public health. Here's a solution. The Management and Supervision Training for Public Health Professionals is going to be offered again this fall. It was first offered last spring and was so well received we have decided to make it available again. Comments from past participants... "In past years this training was directed at, and only open to, those folks in the nursing profession. What a well kept secret you had there!" "I was particularly enlightened by the speakers from the OSP and their thoughts on the Life Cycle of Employment. Together with the discussions on leadership and leadership styles, along with employee development I feel that I am a better informed mid level manager." "I hope that this training, to include non-nursing personnel, will continue to provide access to knowledgeable professionals who are willing to share their expertise and make us all better health providers." "I have never attended anything in my 25 years that was so informative and pertinent to my work. Great job!" The content of this course is applicable for any manager/supervisor who works in the health department or for those who want to prepare for a leadership role in public health management. We expect the class to fill up quickly so please get your registration in early. Topics
