Conference participants learn about best practices for communicable disease programs in local public health agencies. Public health professionals and community partners interact with key leaders in communicable disease to discuss hot topics, outbreak response, and new initiatives.

This conference is part of Introduction to Communicable Disease Surveillance and Investigation in North Carolina, a 15 week distance learning course which is required by the NC Division of Public Health Agreement Addenda for local health department communicable disease staff. Local health department staff and community partners can attend the conference without registering for the distance learning course. Priority will be given to local health department staff. Registration for the distance learning course will take place on site at the Friday Center.

Continuing education units will be awarded for this conference. Participants will receive 0.6 CEUs.
