Series OverviewThe Enhanced Nurse Training Program is designed to provide nurses in local health departments with the skills they need to perform physical assessments and to function under standing orders.
Sequencing of Courses and Prerequisites
To register for a specific course, you must complete BOTH the registration form for the course you are interested in AND an Application for PHN Enrollment in the Enhanced Nurse Training Program in order for us to verify that you have completed the necessary prerequisites. TO REGISTER: Click the course in the image above to register online. You may also register by fax (919-966-5692). TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION FOR PHN ENROLLMENT IN THE ENHANCED NURSE TRAINING PROGRAM: The form must be signed by the student and her/his supervisor. Click here to view the form, then print it out and complete it. To receive an original application form, send email to maura_odonoghue@unc.edu or call 919-843-8859. Send the completed application to: Maura O'Donoghue Registrations are accepted on a first-come/first-served basis, and space in these programs is limited. To ensure your place, please submit your application form as soon as possible. Please make a copy of the registration form for your business office. If you wait for your business office to submit all the papers, your registration may be delayed. You will receive written confirmation of your registration. If you have not received a confirmation letter one month prior to the program date, call 919-843-8859 to check on the status of your registration. Applications received within two weeks of the start of the course will be charged a $30 late fee. Within one week prior to start of the course, registrant will be charged a $50 late fee.
