Evaluation Services provides comprehensive, customer-focused, high quality program planning and evaluation services, in accordance with the American Evaluation Association guidelines and in keeping with the Institute's mission of linking practice and academia. The evaluation team has proven its leadership within the nationally-ranked UNC School of Public Health and among other schools in providing expertise in evaluating programs objectively and measuring outcomes through numerous publications, reports, presentations, and training offerings. The team has worked with a variety of clients, from local and state health departments to international clients. For example, team members have conducted evaluations for the NC Division of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Evaluation team members are experts in a variety of methodologies, including assessment, logic models, qualitative methods such as interviewing, and quantitative methods such as surveys. In addition to providing outstanding services for existing programs, Evaluation Services can develop evaluation strategies for inclusion in grant proposals. Evaluation Services designs its work based on the needs of the customer. A project can be customized to meet a variety of needs from basic consultation to comprehensive program planning and evaluation.
