Field Epidemiology Certificate: Who Should Apply?

This program should be considered essential for staff in state and local public health departments who would like more training in field epidemiology including: public health preparedness staff public health nurses communicable disease investigators epidemiologists environmental health specialists health educators health officers physicians public health veterinarians Others who would benefit from the program include Those who perform epidemiological tasks but who have limited or no formal epidemiology education. Those currently pursuing a degree in related field at a college or university who wish to supplement their program. Those wishing to pursue an MPH and expecting to use some these credits towards that goal. Prerequisites  (effective Oct. 1, 2007) bachelors degree math competency; college level math course excellent English writing skills; must be able to make and support an argument three years education and/or experience in health or social science field—includes volunteer experience acceptable statement of purpose
