The primary purpose of the North Carolina Public Health Nursing Continuing Education Advisory Committee (PHNCEAC) is to assess the continuing education needs of public health nurses across the state and then to work in conjunction with the Office of Public Health Nursing and Professional Development (OPHN&PD) and the Office of Continuing Education (OCE) to ensure that programs are provided to meet those needs. To accomplish this end, the committee is composed of a broad representation of practicing public health nurses and those with an interest in public health nursing.
