Partnering is one of the Institute's core values. Here are some partner links.

National

The Association of Schools of Public Health publicizes programs of general national interest and facilitates activities of the Institute preparedness and training centers.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) support several Institute programs through funding and professional guidance. These include the National Public Health Leadership Institute, Management Academy for Public Health, Public Health Grand Rounds and North Carolina Center for Public Health Preparedness.

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health at CDC supports the North Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Education and Research Center, one of sixteen such centers.

The Center for Creative Leadership has been a partner for the National Public Health Leadership Institute.

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) funds the Southeast Public Health Training Center. HRSA was a founding sponsor of the Management Academy for Public Health.

The National Association of County and City Health Officials promotes several Institute programs to its constituents.

The National Association of Local Boards of Health is a partner with the Institute's efforts to train local boards of health in North Carolina.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation supports Active Living by Design and was a founding sponsor of the Management Academy for Public Health.

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation funds the Emerging Leaders in Public Health pilot program and was a founding sponsor of the Management Academy for Public Health.

Regional

Georgia Division of Public Health is a supporting state of the Management Academy for Public Health. 

South Carolina's Department of Health and Environmental Control participates in the Southeast Public Health Leadership Institute, the Management Academy for Public Health and the Southeast Public Health Training Center.

The Kentucky Department of Public Health partners with the Southeast Public Health Training Center.

Tennessee's Department of Health is a partner with the Center for Public Health Preparedness, the Southeast Public Health Training Center and the Southeast Public Health Leadership Institute.

The Virginia Department of Health participates in the Southeast Public Health Leadership Institute, the Management Academy for Public Health, the Center for Public Health Preparedness and the Southeast Public Health Training Center.

West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources is part of the Southeast Public Health Leadership Institute consortium and a partner with the Center for Public Health Preparedness and the Southeast Public Health Training Center.

Academic

Carolina 's Kenan-Flagler Business School is a partner in the Management Academy for Public Health, Public Health Leadership Institute, and the Emerging Leaders in Public Health training program.

The UNC-Chapel Hill School of Medicine provides faculty and other support to various Institute programs.

The UNC-Chapel Hill School of Nursing cosponsors many Institute training programs related to nurse practitioners.

The UNC-Chapel Hill School of Government collaborates with the NCIPH on a number of public health law activities, such as drafting proposed public health preparedness legislation, and as instructors of an annual public health legal conference for nurse administrators.

North Carolina

The Division of Public Health with North Carolina's Department of Health and Human Services partners with the Office of Continuing Education, Management Academy for Public Health, North Carolina Center for Public Health Preparedness, the Southeast Public Health Training Center and the North Carolina Center for Genomics and Public Health, mainly to support participation in educational events.

The North Carolina Association of Local Health Directors is a group with which the Institute regularly consults.

North Carolina's Area Health Education Centers around the state collaborate with the Institute's Office of Continuing Education on a variety of topical trainings.

NC Prevention Partners is a statewide non-profit, membership organization dedicated to building effective prevention systems in NC communities and health systems in order to improve health of all North Carolinians.
