The NORC Concierges provide consultation support for the development, design and implementation of nutrition and obesity clinical and translational research.
What type of assistance is provided?

Assistance with answering the "who, what, when, where, why and how"

Identifying research gaps and developing research plans

Providing navigation through the UNC research infrastructure

Connecting investigators to potential mentors and collaborators

Assistance in preparing grant proposals, manuscripts and protocols reviews

Facilitating in the development and implementation of pilot grant projects
- Providing letters of support and cost estimates for grant proposals

Linking investigators to the appropriate support services and core facilities on campus
Who is eligible to receive consultation?

Concierge services are available to any UNC investigator including a bioinformatics, biostatistics, clinical research or nutrigenomics component in their nutrition or obesity research.
What costs are associated with consultation?

Initial planning and consultation is provided free of charge. Priority is given to members of the NORC.
Are there any requirements for using concierge services?

Investigators who receive consultation or initial planning assistance must cite the NORC grant in all publications resulting from the use of concierge services. The acknowledgement should read "Supported by National Institutes of Health Grant DK056350 to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Nutrition Obesity Research Center."
