We are proud that our Nutrition Department was recognized by the National Research Council as offering one of the top doctoral training programs in the country. Although the NRC has not ranked nutrition training programs at the undergraduate or master's degree levels, we are confident that these programs are also among the best in the country. The Department provides a broad, multidisciplinary training that includes metabolism, behavioral science and population studies. We emphasize critical thinking and relevance to public health. The faculty is fully committed to training undergraduate and graduate students to become the leaders in the field and to make a difference in human health through nutrition. ![]() Chair of the Department of Nutrition
