The MPH is offered in three concentration areas: Leadership (which includes focus areas in Field Epidemiology, Global Public Health, Public Health Nursing, and Public Health Practice); Health Care and Prevention; and Occupational Health Nursing. The MPH in all concentration areas is available in both distance and residential formats, with the exception of Health Care and Prevention, which is offered only on campus. In accordance with new guidelines from the Council on Education for Public Health, the Program requires a minimum of 42 credits for completion. ![]() Public health nurses who enroll in the public health leadership program have the unique opportunity to concentrate on issues of importance to public health nursing through coursework, the master's paper and field practicum. The Occupational Health Nursing concentration and the Public Health Nursing focus area are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), 61 Broadway--33rd Floor, New York, NY 10006; 800-669-1656, ext. 153.
