MS in Public Health Nursing

As part of the Public Health Leadership Program, this Master of Science degree for public health nurses and occupational health nurses is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc.(NLNAC), 61 Broadway--33rd Floor, New York, NY 10006; 800-669-1656, ext. 153. For the PHN Focus Area, the curriculum of study includes: Public Health Science courses: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Environmental Science Public Health Leadership Core courses: Leadership Workshop, Principles of Public Health Leadership, Project Management Principles and Practices, and Policy Development Public Health Nursing courses Practicum Research courses and Thesis Elective     For the OHN Concentration, the curriculum of study includes: Public Health Science courses: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Environmental Science Occupational Health Sciences: Industrial Hygiene, Toxicology, Occupational Safety/Ergonomics, and Interdisciplinary Approaches to Occupational Health Occupational Health Nursing courses Practicum Research courses and Thesis Residential Program: Full-time study only May be completed in two years Admissions: Admissions for all graduate programs are coordinated through the Graduate School.
