Somen Saha will present a poster entitled
"Protecting
microfinance clients from health related emergencies: Health loan program in
one of the fastest growing microfinance organization in India" at the
30th Annual Minority health Conference (February 27, 2009), in Chapel Hill,
NC.
Publications
Sharon Frazee has just had an article accepted for publication in
the American Journal of Managed Care for their July 09 issue. The article,
"A Prescription for Better Hea
lth: Driving Medication Adherence at Intergrated Workplace Primary Care and Pharmacies," is a study on increasing adherence
to medications used to treat chronic conditions (Hypertension,
Hyperlipidemia, Diabetes, Thyroid Disease, Heart Arrythmia).
Sharon also co-wrote (with her colleague Ray Fabius) a chapter for the just published Worksite Health Handbook-2nd Edition. The chapter is on Workplace-Based Health and Wellness Services and includes a
history
of workplace health programs, the migration
of workplace health from occupational health to primary care, the scope
of services covered by workplace health, how workplace health
promotion fits in, the value of workplace health and the importance of
workplace health as the integration point for employee health and
productivity. Info on
