"Reaching the Disconnected Internet" is the topic of a Tuesday (March 2) lecture to be given by Paul Burden, vice president of Cyveillance, an Arlington, Va.-based company specializing in helping organizations monitor the Internet for identity theft, fraud, security risks, non-compliant product distribution and trademark infringement. The lecture is sponsored by the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and runs from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in 2301 McGavran-Greenberg Hall. Burden, who serves as a member of the School of Public Health's Advisory Council, has more than 20 years experience in the information technology field, much of it working for Microsoft. He spent 12 years running the Federal Systems Division of Microsoft - a division that he founded. Microsoft recognized Burden for building the most successful business division in the United States.
