Financial Literacy Workshop - February 16, 5:30-7:30, Blue Cross Blue Shield Auditorium (MHRC 0001)
The SPH Office of Student Affairs, SPH Student Government, and Carolina
Public Health Solutions are pleased to sponosr a workshop focusing on financial
literacy for public health professionals. Dr. Marci Thomas, faculty member in
Health Policy and Management, will provide a summary of basic
financial terms and documents that SPH students might encounter in various
public health careers. Register now.
Networking Workshop - March 18, 11:30-1:00, MHRC 2005
Learn how to establish and nurture your professional network. Sarah Strunk,
MHA '91, Director of Active Living by Design, will share strategies for sucess
during this interactive workshop. Tips for using the SPH Alumni Network and
LinkedIn will also be presented during the last 30 minutes of the workshop. Register now.
SPH Student Travel Orientation - March 31, noon-1:00, McGavran-Greenberg 2301
A travel orientation for SPH students travelling abroad for required internships
or research. Students will learn about required documentation, health and
safety precautions and cultural nuances. Register now.
Global Health Careers Make a World of Difference - CDC Job Fair

CDC Public Health Prevention Specialist Information Session - January 26, 5:30-6:30, Blue Cross Blue Shield Auditorium (MHRC 0001)
The 3-year PHPS training and service fellowship focuses on public health program management
and provides experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation
through specialized hands-on training and mentorship at CDC, and in state and
local health agencies.
