How
to apply
Applications from non-US residents are processed the same way as those
from US applicants. In addition, non-US applicants must provide a certified
English translation of their transcripts (if they were not issued in English),
proof of English-language proficiency by receiving acceptable scores on the
Test of English as a Foreign Language Exam (TOEFL), and a completed financial
certificate. The Graduate School’s website
for international applicants describes the transcript, TOEFL and
financial certificate requirements in detail.
NOTE: Though
admissions committees in each department make SPH admissions decisions all
applicants to School
of Public Health’s
graduate degrees must apply through UNC’s Graduate School.
I.e., The application is processed in the Graduate School and
eventually sent to the appropriate department for consideration. All
application information provided by the Graduate School
applies to our applicants. Please visit both the department's How to
Apply pages as well on the Graduate
School website to make
sure you understand all requirements.
For further
assistance, please contact the student services experts
(registrars) for the department you are interested in.
