School-wide Welcome
Returning and new students alike were welcomed on the first day of class with freash bakery treats and the school halls were festooned with Carolina-colored baloons. Dean Rimer spoke in hopeful terms about the exciting year ahead - our first year as the Gillings School of Global Public Health. Student Government leaders, pictured below, led an auditorium full of students in an S-P-H song, a la Y-M-C-A. It was a festive start to what will be a fruitful year.
